About Me

Who am I?  (Double's laughing in the background)  No...seriously...I forgot...

My name is Lorelei, but some of my friends call me Trouble...they're right...I get all up in myself everyday.  I am 19 years old and I live in Georgia.  Go BULLDOGS!! Edit Text

I am currently enrolled at Athens Technical College.  My major is Business Office Technology.  I have 2 more quarters left before I will be completely done with my college career.  Pretty exciting, huh?  As exciting as that is, I am considering just finding a job and continuing my education for a little while.  Maybe take some classes that I'm interested in that can help me in my career but have nothing to do with the courses I'm taking.

I was born on April 27th, 1985.  A few weeks after that, I was adopted by a wonderful couple.  I've had family problems just about as much as the next person, but they weren't any one person's fault...all three of us contributed to it.  I don't care what anyone else says, my parents are the coolest and if you can't see that, you're blind.  If you wanna diss on them, I dare you to do it in front of me.

I have two dogs, a cocker spaniel and a chihuahua.  Rica is the baby of the family and Sally is getting on in years, but I love her to death too.  My dad recently received two yorkies as well...both of whom are younger than Rica.  The "little sir" as I like to call him is Fly and his future girlfriend is Missy...short for mischief which she LOVES getting into.  I've actually mistaken her for stuffed animals and pieces of fuzz she's so small.  Her hair sticks out everywhere in a so-pitiful-its-adorable kind of way.

Last, but most definitely not least, Jesus is my best friend, my Father, my Brother...He is my everything right now.  I went through a time recently of not feeling like I belonged anywhere...mostly because of the adoption (which I'm so grateful for).  I love my adoptive family and I wouldn't trade them for ANYTHING!  But that doesn't mean I wouldn't like to meet my real family and it doesn't mean that some things wouldn't be different if I had lived with my real family.  Then, one day, I went to see a good friend of mine, and he reminded me that Jesus IS my father.  Ever since then, if I feel lonely, I just think about Jesus filling the role as my birth family for now.  I want to dedicate this site to Him.  Sure, there will be many other things on this site that really have nothing to do with Him, but my prayer is that I can find some way to link it all back to Him.  Jesus, I love You!

Why Trouble?  And what's with Lorelei?  Never heard that name before...except maybe on Gilmore Girls...

Well...a long time ago, I got to where I was tired of having such a boring name (in reference to my real name).  I thought about changing it, but I didn't want to hurt my parent's feelings, so instead, when I started writing and really getting into that, I went to some name sites.  Lorelei was something that I really liked.  I couldn't remember where I had  heard of it, but thought that maybe I had heard it when I wasn't paying attention to what was on tv or something, so I went online and looked it up.  It is of German origin and means "Alluring Song".  I'm going to use it for my pen name with Alexis being the middle name...probably Lorenzo for the last one...but anywho.  My singles pastor likes to refer to me as Lorelei quite often (thanks, J.T.)...I'm unsure as to whether or not I told him about the whole pen-name deal or not...but oh well.

Trouble was tagged on as my actual nickname by my "twin" Double.  I was driving to her dorm to help her unpack one day.  She walked up to the car and said "Hey Trouble, I know where you been..."  It's actually an excerpt from a Julissa Neely song called "Trouble Is Back".  We later got into hyper-mode and we came up with Double Trouble Incorporated Publishers.  She's Double, I'm Trouble, her best friend is Incorporated, and my best friend is Publishers.  There will be a link to DTIP (Double Trouble Incorporated Publishers) on Tripod in the future.

My Job...Professional Pepsi Drinker

What a job!

I drink Pepsi Cola on a daily basis.  It's a 24-7 job.  I'm hyper...I love life.  I am addicted to caffeine.  I'm so addicted to caffeine, that I jumped at the chance to use this particular background for my website when I was building it.  The reason: the name of the background is Caffeine.

I love my work.  The best part of it is the fact that I'm always a happy person and Pepsi tastes SOO good *licks lips*.  Another thing is this: I could probably get put in the World Records as being the person to drink the most Pepsi's in a lifetime.

I also drink Coke on occasion, but Pepsi RULES!!

For those of you wondering, "How can she do that...don't you EVER drink anything else?"  I do drink things such as VERY sweet tea and water...if there is no Pepsi to be found.

For those who look at me on certain mornings and say "Pepsi?  For BREAKFAST?!"  I have an answer for you as well.  "Coffe?  For BREAKFAST?!"

That's my job...for now anyway.  I hope to start working my way through college soon.
